they say that the best month for a couple to be wed is June. according to historians, June is named after the Roman Goddess “Juno”, goddess of marriage and women (equivalent to Hera for the Greeks). then these people probably thought Juno would be mighty pissed off if they are not going to get married on her month (because that’s how she rolls) so they back then would really make it to a point to do the holy matrimony under Juno’s turf.

in the modern world, the hell we care about what Juno will think: marriage can be done anytime – tomorrow if you’d like. but that would not be as lavish as what your partner has in mind, right? so if you are planning to tie the knot very soon, have it at least planned out?

Kasalan 2010 is just around the corner where every wedding photographers, planners, and gown designers are going to cluster themselves in one big location. it is going to happen on September 3 to 5, 2010, at the LimKetKai Mall Atrium.

the BRIDE of ONE HAPPY STORY wedding photography Cagayan de Oro City

We can already smell the “Kasalan 2010 Bridal Fair” in the air. It will be a perfect moment for the bride and grooms-to-be to have that “one stop shop” feel for their wedding preparation. From the best wedding photographers in town, to the most notable cake designers – they will find that preparing for their wedding is that easy. So if you are planning to tie the knot with your one-and-only soon, then we encourage you to visit the bridal fair this coming September 3-5, 2010, at the LimKetKai Rotunda!

But in order for us to give you the best experience at the bridal fair, we also made our own preparation!

We are so excited to be part of this bridal fair, that is why we held a bridal shoot last Sunday somewhere near the outskirts of the city. We handpicked Ana Marfori, a good friend of ours, to be our model for the shoot. And We knew we were right in choosing her.

If you will look at her for the first time, you will find that she is obviously pretty, charming, and she exudes grace and elegance all the time. But there is more to her than just being pretty and poise, and we found that one out while working with her. She is really, REALLY easy to work with – we, including the other personalities involved in the said shoot – just kept on chuckling and laughing, from dolling her up, to the fitting of the 1940s-inspired wedding dress, to the actual shoot. And we can tell that she was having fun, too! Also, why we knew we were never wrong in choosing her for this bridal shoot, is because she represents our team ONE HAPPY STORY much: fun loving, goofy at times, and less dense while keeping the quality topnotch for a much better experience.

MARKY and BANGS engagement shoot Cagayan de Oro City

A cool rainy day engagement shoot. Marky and Bangs are both nurses and during the shoot, I pretty much learned so many things. I learned that we should drink multivitamins during the evenings so that our body will digest the tablet through the night and we will be up and running through the next day. Learned how dengue works. And we should already be asleep from 10pm to 2am as these are the peak hours our body will secrete hormones that are useful in increasing our immune system’s capacity to fight infections and also repair damaged cells. I know this is not related in my post below, hehehehe, but I was so amazed with the facts that I can’t help but share it.
