If you want to be one of the Giants, you got to walk with the Giants.

I could still remember shooting as a back-up wedding photographer for Nelwin Uy 2 years ago in Shangri-la Cebu City and it was one of my past experiences that really set a foundation for what style of photography I want. I was still in my sophomore year in wedding photography that time and I was still learning what is the new trend in shooting weddings and just trying to make a niche in the industry. I was able to see first hand modern wedding photography and it was after that time that I decided to really pursue my style and also create what One Happy Story is right now.
I am already turning 4 years in the industry and I am loving my work. And in this industry, being always updated is key to longevity. When Nelwin Uy decided to hold his first wedding photography workshop, I immediately signed up. And sure enough, it was one of the best investment I got for my business. It is not only the cameras, the equipments that is essential in this business but also advance knowledge in the market is also important.
After joining Nelwin Uy’s wedding photography workshop which was held at Cocoon Studio, we are happy to say that we are very much inspired to really make it good in the wedding industry especially that being based here in Mindanao really needs much bigger effort in terms of putting our company name in the wedding industry map. We have lots in mind to upgrade in our products even though we are already happy with our outputs, we are going to do much better. EVOLVE – that is our theme in mind right now. So what is in store in One Happy Story? Rebranding and a whole lot new designs of our products is at the works. There will also be a few tweaks on our current rates which also includes additional products to be added in. So there you go pips! We’re pumped up and excited for our upcoming weddings. We will keep you posted. Check us out every now and then.
And it’s our 4th Year Anniversary this coming July! ( Check our blog the coming days as we will be posting promo stuff for clients wishing to book us ).
Here are my photos during Nelwin Uy’s XOXO Wedding Photography Workshop.

with Nelwin Uy ( if you want to know more of Nelwin, check his website: www.nelwinuyphotography.com ) much respect for this dude!

The equally AWESOME Guest Speakers:
left photo: Janna Simpao of Bride and Breakfast ( www.brideandbreakfast.ph )
She talked about being active in wedding blogs. Submitting photos and just plainly being active in the cyberspace especially now that everyone is pretty much a Netizen already and people tend to google now instead of going to bridal shops.
center photo: that’s Nelwin Uy speaking up. And oh, just before I took that photo, Nelwin had a stage fright. hahahaha…
He immediately excused himself and said that, because this is his first workshop, he was not that acquainted with speaking in front a crowd. It was also an experience he will truly remember, he shared. We found it adorable instead and after that, every one was just laughing and the whole workshop became less stiff and formal which really made it more personal and interesting.
right photo: Marbee Go of Wedding Essentials Magazine and also the other half of We Heart Weddings ( www.weheartweddings.com )
“Print is NOT DEAD!” Magazines will always be one of the top mediums a bride will look up to for bridal inspirations.

3rd guest speaker: Dan Matutina of Twisted Fork ( www.twistedfork.me ) and Plus63 ( www.plus63.com )
He talked about Branding and its integral part to every business.

We also had a groom and bride photoshoot which was held in La Mesa Eco Park. And here are some of my photos during the shoot.
