JOHNSON and ANGELICA | wedding photography | Cagayan de Oro City
We were lucky enough to be part of the new San Lorenzo Ruiz Church’s history as this was the first wedding on the newly constructed church. The Church has this over looking view of Cagayan de Oro bay and has this nice breeze during the afternoons. Angelica is the sister of Andrew whom we covered last December and just like his brother, she was great to work with and goofy which I think really runs in their family’s blood. Everything went smoothly even though we had to split up as the groom had his preparation in Pearlmont Hotel and the bride had it in her family’s house. We especially loved the post wedding shoot we had just outside the church. As you can see by now, we had this knack of placing the couple inside the bride’s veil and just let them play with it and with a nice breeze to accompany it, the photos turned out great!

aside from having to cover the first wedding in the new San Lorenzo Church, this was also Katrina’s last shoot for OneHappyStory. Her artistic capabilities got the attention of the peeps in MayadStudios. So even though it may seem saddening for us to lose someone from our crew , we were still happy that she’ll be part of a world renowned video team. To Katrina, all we can say is
” WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! RAKENROL!”
-much love and support from your peeps here in OneHappyStory-

RYAN and ANDY
Ryan and Andy just celebrated their 4th year being together. They are not getting married soon by the way (it depends though
). They just wanted something special to do to celebrate a highlight of their relationship. So they decided to do a fun couple shoot instead. Even though I was a bit sick that day and was coughing every 3 seconds I think, I was also as excited as them. They are my close friends whom I rarely see already as they are pretty much covered in medical books literally I could say. We planned an afternoon photo shoot with something like fun-under-the-afternoon-sun-on-the-beach-kind-of-feel but the weather was not cooperative that day. But even though it rained, we were up to it and pretty much enjoyed the experience of doing a photo shoot under the rain.
We also did a few funky shots on our HQ’s wall.

CHRIS and AVELINE | wedding photography | Cagayan de Oro City
There is always this uncertainty feeling we get before we go to a wedding coverage. Even though the wedding process is already a given, we are still unaware of what’s going to happen on that day. That’s one of the toughest factor covering a wedding, how to react and be on that perfect spot when a situation happens. So in every wedding that we cover, we digest lots of informations, tips, and other helpful facts that we can get out from the internet and our collection of wedding magazines before hand and even doing lots of wedding area positioning/strategy/location scouting before ceremony. And that also includes trying to know the personalities of the bride and groom and just knowing how to deal with them during pictorial sessions to really capture who they really are. We met Chris and Aveline already during their wedding day and to our delight, they were really nice and easy to work with. Everyone were all smiles that day that it made our work much less difficult.
And their adorable kids whom we had a great time taking pictures which I guess if you were in our shoes, you’ll also take tons of photos too.
We really had a great time during that day that this post has got to be the most narcissistic photos of us in all our posts. To Chris and Aveline, may you have a funky married life ahead.
