MARKY and BANGS engagement shoot Cagayan de Oro City
A cool rainy day engagement shoot. Marky and Bangs are both nurses and during the shoot, I pretty much learned so many things. I learned that we should drink multivitamins during the evenings so that our body will digest the tablet through the night and we will be up and running through the next day. Learned how dengue works. And we should already be asleep from 10pm to 2am as these are the peak hours our body will secrete hormones that are useful in increasing our immune system’s capacity to fight infections and also repair damaged cells. I know this is not related in my post below, hehehehe, but I was so amazed with the facts that I can’t help but share it.

Mito and Che wedding photography Cagayan de Oro City
“Happy is the bride whom the sun shines on.“ says a very old adage about wedding days and rains. Although some people – especially the Italians – believe it to be a good omen when it rains on that special day of your life, many people would rather feel blue when it will drizzle on your wedding day. But not for Mito and Che, who celebrated their holy matrimony on a rainy Saturday afternoon of June 19, 2010. It was supposed to be a garden wedding and the weather was supposed to be sunny, albeit humid. But few hours before the ceremony started, rain fell down quite a bit hard. But even a storm can’t beat the joy of the couple, so instead of a wedding out on the sun, they just let the rain be and had the ceremony done on the reception venue instead – the Marco Hotel ballroom. The ceremony went well, followed by the grand march of the couple together with the principal sponsors, as guests took wacky pictures of themselves inside the photobooth. The gala-gala dance then followed and the sumptous buffet meal was served. While dining, the couple’s friends presented a very heartwarming AVP as their gift. The traditional “toss the garter/bouquet” was changed to a much modern and much fun game that had the best man and maid-of-honor as the last pair standing. The celebration ended with the lighting of the lantern and let it flew to the sky, a Chinese tradition of asking the Higher Powers for luck, prosperity, and health for the many years of Mito and Che to come. And no, rain did not stop it. Congrats and best wishes, Mito and Che!
