What is your style of photography?

My style of photography is fresh, fun and funky! This may sound cheesy but I always want my shoot to be relaxing and fun. A photoshoot shouldn’t be stiff. I believe that a photo shoot must be a place of fun and relaxation but with the right touch of professionalism and skill. A photoshoot must be where you just want to show the whole world how you’re deeply in love or how cool you are. And I assure you, my team is the friendliest photography team you will ever meet.

I always love to capture the emotional parts of a wedding. I’m not talking about those parts where I tell you what to do or the things that are happening in the moment. Instead, I’m talking about the stuff that happen that may take you by surprise, things you may not know – the kind of stuff that really show your true self. This way, the resulting pictures will be those that really move you each and every time you look at them.

Photography to me is not about just taking pictures, it’s about having a nice communication between me and my subject. My style of photography is actually having a good time conversing with the both of you. What I am proud the most is making people feel comfortable to me during shoots. Being a cartoonist before and now a wedding photographer has given me this sense of humor that I bring during a shoot. This way, the atmosphere is more fun and this I could say makes me different from other photographers.

How many are you in your team?

During wedding shoots, more often than not, I always have a 2^nd photographer with me. Aside from producing other angles for the pictures that I will give you, this also has security purposes. The 2nd photographer will serve as the back-up photographer and will help assure that the pictures will be safe and stored. And that’s why I also have a laptop handler. His job will be to constantly download all my files every now and then during shoots and to keep back up files in 2 hard drives, the laptop hard drive and the external hard drive. It is always my priority that when the day comes that I will give you my photos, I can give it to you in 110% perfect condition, nothing is left out. And also, the laptop handler will be the one in-charge for the onsite photoslideshow. I also have an assistant who will help me carry light equipment, making sure that everything is secured. So all in all, we’re usually 4 in my team.

How long should I book you before my wedding day?

If you really love my style of photography and really want me to cover your dream day, I suggest that you book me at least 3 months in advance.

What is the most important thing on the wedding day for you as a photographer?

Your wedding day should be one of the best things that could happen to you and having the best pictures that really capture your wedding day is as precious as the ring that you will get and cherish for the rest of your life. For me, as a photographer, my job is to take those candid shots. I like spotting laughter, smiles, tears – the emotion-filled aspect that will for sure happen during your wedding day. Therefore, it is always vital for me that you and your partner will feel comfortable with me as your wedding photographer. It is very important for me that during your wedding day, you are relaxed and just loving each second of your wedding day. It is very important for me to see you happy on your special day.

When will you give us our pictures?

I request 2-4 weeks as post processing and quality checking time for all of my pictures. I will give you the enhanced/ artfully edited pictures in a DVD data format with cover layout along with the post-processed 4R prints.

The album, on the other hand, takes time to make. I personally choose the best pictures to place in the album. I also personally do the layout. Usually, it takes me around 1 week to finish an album. This period of time already involves designing and redesigning. After completing it, I will send you a website link which shows the album layout so that you can check first before I can finalize the printing.

Please note that I tend to lean towards minimalistic designs. This emphasizes the cleanliness of the design and can heighten the appreciation for the photographs. This also, in my opinion, helps create more meaning. I prefer to place just a few best pictures in one page rather than putting lots of pictures. In my professional opinion, one best picture can already tell a good story. I am, however, open to your preferences. Please feel free to raise this with me upon contract signing.

Now, after getting an approval from you, that’s the only time that I will send the layouts for printing to my supplier. This takes a few weeks to complete. Hence, the album can only be handed over to you in about 2-3 months’ time.

How long of a time do you need for a photo shoot?

It is always my priority that I get the best shots and that right before I leave the venue of the shoot, I already feel absolutely satisfied with my work. Yes, I am very meticulous with details.

What usually happens during a shoot is that I take photos of the groom first. Then the groom with his bestman/bestmen/groomsmen. What follows is a photoshoot of the groom along with his parents.

Bride before ceremony: at least 1 hour before the bride goes to the ceremony area.

After ceremony: at least 30 minutes (this is the time that I require that I do a photoshoot with the newlyweds)

What type of albums do you have?

My albums are high standard magnetic type LEATHER albums that would really last a lifetime. You can view samples of my albums by clicking here.

Do you use lighting equipment?

I really love shoots using only natural light or available light and a reflector. However, if it is really necessary, I use flashes. I always recommend that during your reception time, you get the best lighting supplier or event stylist. Create as much light as possible. Having candles only as lights can be romantic but we can’t take great shots.

Do you only shoot weddings?

As much I love doing wedding photography, I also do family portraits, fashion, lifestyle, portraits and engagement shoots.

Do you do video coverages?

No, but I can refer you to some wedding videography suppliers that I highly recommend.
