But in order for us to give you the best experience at the bridal fair, we also made our own preparation!

We are so excited to be part of this bridal fair, that is why we held a bridal shoot last Sunday somewhere near the outskirts of the city. We handpicked Ana Marfori, a good friend of ours, to be our model for the shoot. And We knew we were right in choosing her.

If you will look at her for the first time, you will find that she is obviously pretty, charming, and she exudes grace and elegance all the time. But there is more to her than just being pretty and poise, and we found that one out while working with her. She is really, REALLY easy to work with – we, including the other personalities involved in the said shoot – just kept on chuckling and laughing, from dolling her up, to the fitting of the 1940s-inspired wedding dress, to the actual shoot. And we can tell that she was having fun, too! Also, why we knew we were never wrong in choosing her for this bridal shoot, is because she represents our team ONE HAPPY STORY much: fun loving, goofy at times, and less dense while keeping the quality topnotch for a much better experience.

A cool rainy day engagement shoot. Marky and Bangs are both nurses and during the shoot, I pretty much learned so many things. I learned that we should drink multivitamins during the evenings so that our body will digest the tablet through the night and we will be up and running through the next day. Learned how dengue works. And we should already be asleep from 10pm to 2am as these are the peak hours our body will secrete hormones that are useful in increasing our immune system’s capacity to fight infections and also repair damaged cells. I know this is not related in my post below, hehehehe, but I was so amazed with the facts that I can’t help but share it.

But really, 9 hours was not even close for the time Dingdong, the groom of this happy story, to court on Odyssa, before they tied the knot. Great things come to those who wait, it is true.

They first met during the elementary years, long before they knew what love is all about. When they grew up, Dingdong courted Odyssa but she refused. But that did not stop him from pursuing, until she finally gave in and now, they are binded as one.

The wedding and reception were held at the Luzon Ballroom of Grand Regal Hotel, a very nice place. The bride, as well as the groom, was really cooperative in striking some poses. The suite room of the hotel is really immense enough you could think of many things to do there for a photoshoot, not to mention we had a very great view of the mighty Mount Apo, Davao’s well-known landmark. The wedding went on very smoothly, and we were able to get good shots because of the amazing workforce of the coordinator.

So if you are going to ask us if we would be willing to spend another nine hours of our lives just to get good pictures, we’d say “add nine more”. Not only that, we would be willing to travel to all four corners of the Earth just to take your pictures. Planet Mars, too.

ONE HAPPY STORY PHOTOGRAPHY

After spending a long time of thinking and conceptualizing, I have decided that I will not be using my own name (Bon Aserios) as my business name anymore. Instead, I considered making another name that generalizes my team’s work ethics, our personalities, our style of photography and our relationship with our clients. It was a beautiful accident when I bumped to one of my friends who is currently a manager of a yogurt store and also has a gift in conceptualizing good business names, so I asked her to help me out with that area. After so many names conjured, one struck me the most: ONE HAPPY STORY.

The three words mentioned above just fell into place with this business name. ONE, as a team we work harmoniously and just try to be in-sync with our creative ideas. HAPPY, we are always happy! We always want to create a feel good ambience during our shoot which makes our clients comfortable – a very important factor in taking good pictures and portraits. STORY, as wedding and portrait photographers, it is our job to document your wedding and just let the photographs tell the whole world about that one special moment. ONE HAPPY STORY, we make sure that you are as happy as we are.

Hadj and Carrot met each other in Makati City back in 2007. Hadj started out as Carrot’s admirer. Then this admiration evetually stepped into friendship, from friendship into inseparation. And from there, they took it to the next level with marriage.

They tied the knot last June 26 at San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish in Gusa on a fair-weathered afternoon. The reception then followed at the Grand Ballroom of Dynasty Court Hotel, where the entourage and guests had their share of their hearty meal. The newlywed couple was then surprised by video patch coming from friends and family who would love to be there for them but just couldn’t – even one rendered a song for them via video.

Their romantic journey was reflected at the whole setting of the reception. Street signs were everywhere and even skyscraper backdrop was displayed on stage thanks to the creative minds behind FLOWER MATTERS. With all those happening, it might have felt like it was the first time they met each other.

I was also happy that day because Aye Navarro’s schedule for that saturday was free, and was able to assist me for this shoot.

The wedding ended up on smoothly with laughs and smiles thanks to a very nice wedding coordination from PROF ORG. And this might be yet another journey for Hadj and Carrot, but as far as i can see, no roadblocks are ahead of them. Congratulations!
