Does staying on a very cool, paradise island for a day or two doing things you like to do sound work for you? Well, that’s what we just did last week.

Samal is a small island off the coast of Davao City. It is blessed with white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, and abundant with world-class beaches. And in this island was where Lupe and Nana tied the knot of their marriage and love.

Lupe and Nana, both based in the busy city of Los Angeles, California ( hardcore Laker fans they are so you better not mistakenly speak of any Celtics related stuffs to them, hehehhe… ), decided to have their married life started in Nana’s home country, and they never went wrong.

We are happy to be a part of their very intimate ceremony (which went really really well- no, GREAT!), where there were only around 60 people invited to witness their once-in-a-lifetime occassion. And it was easy for me as the official photographer to capture timeless moments with them because they are easy to work with and very natural infront of the camera, doing funny faces, wacky gestures and all. Plus it’s good to know that other suppliers are Cagayan de Oro based as well, who were as excited as we are. Big credits to FLOWER MATTERS for the Flowers and Event styling, BADZ CASTRO for the coordination and MVP digital video, we always love working with them. And did I forget to mention that both of them are real lookers? Well, you can actually look at the pictures and see for yourself

Like we have said before, we are willing to go anywhere you are just to take your photos. Even though Samal Island – or even Davao City – is far away from reality which is Cagayan de Oro, that wouldn’t stop us from travelling for something worthwhile.. like this wedding of two real cool people. Paradise was just a bonus!

A cool rainy day engagement shoot. Marky and Bangs are both nurses and during the shoot, I pretty much learned so many things. I learned that we should drink multivitamins during the evenings so that our body will digest the tablet through the night and we will be up and running through the next day. Learned how dengue works. And we should already be asleep from 10pm to 2am as these are the peak hours our body will secrete hormones that are useful in increasing our immune system’s capacity to fight infections and also repair damaged cells. I know this is not related in my post below, hehehehe, but I was so amazed with the facts that I can’t help but share it.

This is our second installment of Kris and Dottie’s engagement shoot. During our first engagement pictorial (view part 1 here ), we had difficulty in doing the photoshoot as it was raining hard that day and our plans of having an outdoor shoot was cancelled. So I decided that if the couple is ok with it, we do another pictorial session. Thanks to the Lord above, He gave us a very nice weather for our 2nd pictorial. The shoot went well and even though we had some minor setbacks (the car we were riding got stucked on some mud puddle and some more unfortunate events like stepping on some you-know-what hehehe ) still we had a blast and I commend the couple for being so funky! woohooo!!! Stay tuned for their wedding photos coming September.
